Tuesday McClain
A native of Baltimore City, Tuesday,
has successfully created a brand that embodies her desire to continually serve, motivate and empower every woman to look and feel beautiful.
From the early age of twelve, she began pursuing her passion as a stylist by freelancing and working on clients out of her mother's home. By the age of thirteen, though still not old enough to legally work, she was given the opportunity to work as stylist at Too Fierce salon. Without any formal cosmetology training but lots of raw talent, she started studying for the state board of Cosmetology exam while working at Loose Ends Salon.
It was here that Tuesday learned what it truly meant to be a professional stylist. Under the tutelage of the owner, Ronette Moore, she cultivated her craft and grew both personally and professionally. This apprenticeship process, coupled with several supplemental courses, aided in her passing the board exam and achieving her ultimate goal.
Now licensed, Tuesday was ready to diversify her client base and begin building her brand. So, without hesitation, she decided to open her own salon, Vivachic. While earning her associate business degree from Baltimore City College, she learned first hand the ins and outs of being a business owner. These lessons would prove invaluable as she realized the importance of Solid business acumen.
Ever mindful of her desire to create beauty and serve on an international level, Tuesday began perfecting her craft as a color Specialist. She trained under some of the best in the industry, to include Toni & Guy Academy (London), Redken, Loreal, Wella, Schwartzkopf, Phyto/Subtil, and Blonde Solutions. With over 25 years of experience she is an expert and authority on corrective color thus highly sought after for her ability to cultivate cutting edge color that looks both natural and dimensional.
Identified as one of Baltimore's top stylists, Tuesday strives to incorporate art and beauty in every aspect of her lifestyle. Always the student she has earned her Sr. Cosmetologist license, a B.S degree in Psychology at Towson State University, now pursuing her MBA/Marketing. She’s the Owner of Savvy Color Salon Inc. in Fells Point in Maryland. Tuesday is a health and fitness enthusiast and a lover of the great outdoors. She resides in Maryland and finds inspiration through listening to music, reading, painting, and traveling the world.
